Liam Gallagher - Selling Out?

Liam Gallagher is a man who has never been far from the centre of controversy. Since the day he burst onto the music scene as the lead singer of Oasis in 1994, he has split opinion and caused divide amongst music fans all over the globe. Liam back on stage for the Manchester  benefit concert earlier this year After three years out of the spotlight, the younger brother has risen from the wilderness in 2017 with a new style, a new haircut and a new solo album, destined to be released later this year. But the emergence of Liam as a standalone artist raises some questions and will continue to, especially with the fanbase who have treated him like a king since he first began to cause chaos twenty years ago. After all, it was just a year and a half ago that he posted this infamous tweet on the internet refuting claims that he would ever make a solo record - a promise that he had stuck by since his youth. Germany's wonderkids win the 2017 Confederations Cup... but who are they?

When World Cup winning manager Joachim Low announced his 23-man squad for the 2017 Confederations Cup in mid-May, frowns and wondrous looks adorned the faces of many football fans across the globe. Germany, who lifted the trophy for a fourth time in 2014 in Brazil, have a loaded pool of players who are sought after by teams all over the globe, and are surefire candidates for a win in 2018 as well. So where were all they all in the past month? Germany striker Lars Stindl celebrates scoring the winning goal in the Confederations Cup final. The tournament, which pits the winners of each confederation's tournament against each other in a mini cup-style format, takes places quadrennially, a year before football's showpiece tournament is held in the same location. The Germans came out victors in this years edition after a one-nil victory over Chile in the final. But the usual names were absent: Mesut Ozil, Toni Kroos, Manuel Neuer, Mats Hummels, Thomas Muller, Jerome Boate

Corbs at Glasto: For the many?

As with most things in life that divide opinion, it is hard to see both sides of the story until someone else presents you with an opposing view. When I saw Jeremy Corbyn, Labour-leader-extraodinaire and man of the people, invited out onto the Pyramid stage by Michael Eavis to give a celebratory, heart-warming speech, I was initially surprised and it didn't do anything but put a smile on face. Over the past few months, to my own shock, my head has been well and truly turned by Corbyn and his doting-father demeanour and jolly ways. No, I'm not yet a rich-loving, overzealous leftie, but by being a lot more open to the prospect of a non-Tory government in the lead up to this year's election, I have come to see that Corbyn is, on the face of it, none of the man that the Daily Mail make him out to be.
